This Abuse and Public Safety Policy explains how to report harmful or illegal use of ProofLookup.

1. How to Report Abuse

Report suspected abuse to [email protected]. Include the ProofLookup URL, verification code, QR code, destination URL if known, screenshots, date and time, and a description of the issue.

2. Immediate Removal of High-Risk Content

We may immediately disable, delete, block, preserve, or report any record, file, QR code, link, account, or activity that we believe is associated with illegal content, phishing, malware, fraud, forged credentials, public safety risks, child safety risks, hidden or cloaked content, or review evasion.

3. Hidden, Cloaked, or Restricted Content

We prohibit records, QR codes, links, and files that are designed to hide or selectively reveal their true content, target, or purpose. This includes country blocking, IP blocking, CDN rules, firewall challenges, bot checks, device filtering, user-agent filtering, time-based content, conditional redirects, password gates, or other review evasion methods.

4. Public Safety Risks

We prohibit content or activity that may threaten or endanger public safety, national security, emergency response, critical infrastructure, transportation systems, public health, or the physical safety of any person or group. This includes threats of violence, bomb threats, shooting threats, swatting, false emergency reports, terrorism, violent extremism, sabotage, dangerous instructions, doxxing, stalking, and targeted harassment that may create physical danger.

5. Child Safety

ProofLookup has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, trafficking, coercion, sextortion, or any sexualized content involving minors. We may preserve evidence and report suspected violations to appropriate authorities or organizations.

6. Enforcement Actions

We may suspend accounts, disable lookup pages, delete records, block domains, restrict uploads, show warnings, preserve evidence, or report activity to hosting providers, registrars, CDNs, platforms, payment processors, regulators, law enforcement, or safety organizations.

7. Appeals

If your record or account was suspended and you believe it was a mistake, contact [email protected] with your account email, the affected URL or code, the purpose of the record, supporting evidence, and confirmation that the record is lawful, accurate, authorized, and accessible for review.
